Damian (Atari) is a fairly average person, both inside & out. He doesn't anger easily, nor does he ever let things really bother him. He's a calm, caring, and bashful individual although he isn't shy to new faces. Atari enjoys getting work calls and loves what he does even though business is often slow on the island chain. This is mostly because he gets to meet new people on a weekly basis.History
Atari has a terrible habit of taking things that don't belong to him--usually before he realizes he's doing so. Be it a pen, a book, a necklace, or anything else small enough to fit in a hand, he'll not hesitate to grab it. Often times, he'll feel a heavy guilt because of his theft, but is usually too afraid to return the item and either leaves it somewhere or (more rarely) keeps it himself.
Atari is a nice kid. He had always been a nice kid growing up. He enjoyed life and his friends and family just as much as any other little boy would. He went to a public school and did very well in his early grades, steadily dipping as he moved on from Elementary to Middle & then to High school, but not falling too much. His friends were always close & having fun was usually a higher priority than studying.
Atari was a bit of a charmer, too, turning any sour attitudes toward him into friendly, amicable relationships. Several of his best friends had even been some to try and pick on him in his middle school, soon finding nothing to tease him about and even warming up to the bubbly kid.
As he grew older, Atari & his friends would often frequent popular spots around town. They were typical locations for most teens: the nearby lake, the mall, a couple fast food spots & such. It was during this time that Atari started noticing his peculiar "collecting" habit starting to form. He wasn't too worried--after all, he had only taken some coin-change from his friends--but it slowly started to turn into shoplifting. It wasn't even a question of "can I get away with this?" all too often. It was much more instinctual than that. Pick it up, put it in your pocket, forget it exists. Atari soon began to fret. He was starting to get caught and was catching himself stealing more & more often. The guilt building up was crippling, and he stopped visiting certain places as often as he used to. Instead, he asked for a job with a family friend to help fill up his time.
This friend, Nikolas, managed a small general store in the middle of the city and owned his own locksmithing business. While Atari's stealing habits were still going fairly strong here, too, he tried to direct it more towards little snacks & candies; things commonly offered to him by Nikolas anyways.
While working, Atari began expressing his interest in Nikolas' locksmithing. Nikolas, in need of some extra help, decided to teach Atari about the trade as much as he could. It was exciting to see someone interested in learning from him, and who better than someone he'd known for years? When it came time for Atari to graduate school, he had it in his mind to pick up a trade--namely locksmithing. He had already accepted the fact that college was a long-shot, anyways. Atari moved to a city with a good trade school and enrolled, whizzing through most of it with the knowledge he had gained prior & learning more towards the end of it all. He got his degree here and headed home again. Knowing he'd have to move again to find a good job opportunity, he talked it over with his dad. Eventually, the two decided on a small island chain whose economy had been noticeably growing as of late...

- stealing (small items)
- Atari's nickname comes from his childhood where his friends would tease him about his poor video game skills when playing.
- He has a habit of stealing small items, typically coins, keys, pens, etc. If ever confronted on the issue, he'll claim (if pressured enough) it to be kleptomania,
although his tendencies reflect it as much more selective than typically regarded and does not show hoarding tendencies like some kleptomaniacs.
- He has never stolen anything larger than a hard-backed novel before.
- He has a piercing on his left ear which is decorated with a opal-white, round stub. - Any stolen object he has will typically not be given as a gift. - Atari LOVES animals and everything about them. He's not particularly skilled with them, he just loves to be around, play with, & pet them. OOC:
